About the MLC

A combination classroom, library and study space in the heart of campus, the MLC is a unique academic hub. Gather here for class, group study, a meeting, research help, or to cozy up in a corner and study with a cup of coffee.

Regular Semester Hours

  • Monday - Thursday: 7:00 am - 2:00 am
  • Friday: 7:00 am - 9:00 pm
  • Saturday: 10:00 am - 7:00 pm
  • Sunday: 11:00 am - midnight

Location

The Zell B. Miller Learning Center is located at 48 Baxter Street in Athens, Georgia, at the intersection of Baxter Street and Lumpkin Street.

Parking

The nearest publicly available parking is the Tate Center Parking Deck (Rates and more information). From 6 pm to 5:30 am, parking is free for those with a valid UGA ID or parking permit.

Wheelchair Accessibility

The east and west entrances on the first floor is wheelchair accessible. The second floor entrance facing the driveway and Baldwin Street and the entrance near the bridge to the Tate Center are also wheelchair accessible. Each of these entrances have push button-activated door openers.

Elevators

There are four total elevators: two on the east side of the building and two on the west side.

Adaptive Technology

There are 4 adaptive technology workstations, one on the east side of the 4th floor, one on the west side of the 4th floor, and two near the 3rd floor east desk. Please ask for information or assistance at the 3rd floor information desks (east, west, or central).

MLC Employement

Student Employment

If you would like to apply for a position in MLC Security or as an MLC Administrative Assistant, request a paper application from the administrative office, MLC 373, and return it during business hours. The office is typically open 8 am - 5 pm, Monday through Friday.

EITS Student Consultants provide customer service assistance with software and technology in the MLC. Please check Handshake for EITS consultant job postings.

TL Classroom Support provides customer service assistance with AV/Audio technology in the MLC and various locations across campus. Please check UGAJobs for CTL Classroom Support student job postings.
